
CDS
CDS stands for combined defence services. The Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. CDS is a national-level exam and is generally conducted in the month of February and November. It is a national-level exam conducted to recruit candidates for officer posts in IMA (Indian Military Academy), INA (Indian Naval Academy), AFA (Air Force Academy) and OTA (Officers Training Academy). Just like the previous year, CDS 2023 will be conducted in three stages. As per the CDS selection process, the stages are written exam, SSB Interview followed by the Medical Examination. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of CDS will be able to apply for it at upsconline.nic.in. NOTE: All the dates mentioned below are for reference only. We will post the correct dates when an official announcement will be released by the authorities of the respective exam.

CDS Eligibility Criteria
* Nationality: A candidate must be unmarried and must either be: (i) a Citizen of India, or (ii) a subject of Nepal, or (iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. * Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA): The candidates must have a graduation degree from any discipline from any recognised university. * Indian Naval Academy (INA): Candidates must have an engineering degree from a recognised university * Air Force Academy (AFA): The candidates must have an engineering degree from a recognised university with physics and maths in 10+2
CDS Application Process
* Candidates are required to apply online by using the website http://upsconline.nic.in. * It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in life time. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination
CDS Admit Card
Once the application process is complete, UPSC usually releases admit cards a few weeks before the exam date. Admit cards can be downloaded from the UPSC website(https://upsc.gov.in/) using the candidate's registration ID or roll number.
CDS Result

CDS Application Fee
Candidates can pay the application fee using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking/Paytm/Cash Cards/SBI Buddy Wallet or they can also download e-challan and make the payment in any branch of Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank or ICICI Bank. Fee once paid will not be refunded in any case. Candidates may check the application fees below:
